Professional Staff Senate

Overview

The Professional Staff Senate is a part of shared governance at the University of Southern Maine.  We work to ensure that the voices of Professional Staff at the University are represented and seek to empower staff in a number of ways. 

Among many activities, we seek to keep Professional Staff informed about USM, represent the Professional Staff on a wide range of university committees, encouraging profesisonal development through sponsoring events and scholarships, collaborate with the Classified Staff Senate, Faculty Senate, Student Senate, and Human Resources, co-host the yearly Employee Recognition Event, and work to improve the quality of life for Staff at USM.
