Susy (Susan) Hawes
Susy leads the Data Innovation Project with vision, adaptability and (sometimes obsessive but always helpful) organization. She values working in collaboration with partners to ensure projects are moving forward with clarity that drives results. Susy received a BA in Public Health and Culture from Bates College. She has additional training in facilitation, mediation, motivational interviewing, nonviolent communication (NVC) and workshop design and leadership. Susy has a knack for synthesizing and communicating lessons, results and recommendations. On the side, she is a yoga teacher, chicken farmer and guru of all the trails in the Greater Portland area.
Susy has worked in the fields of research and evaluation since 2009 and has experience collaborating with community, state and national non-profits, funders, for-profits and government entities to help inform meaningful and intentional uses of data, all with the lens of how organizations can best use data to inform decisions and drive outcomes for those they serve.
