Profile
My name is Jennifer Gunderman. Currently I am the Maine AHEC Director and faculty member at the University of New England. In this role, I coordinate and participate in interprofessional, community and population based education and practice focused on rural and underserved areas. My background includes being a Peace Corps volunteer in Niger; working with Maine health department as an epidemiologist; providing technical assistance to Caribbean and African countries on HIV surveillance; and even owning an organic farm. I genuinely enjoy epidemiology and using data to make discoveries about health issues and communities. (I think that makes me a bit of a self-proclaimed, proud data geek.) I teach courses for University of New England, University of Southern Maine, and University of Vermont. I live in Belfast, Maine with my 3 children where we enjoy being outdoors as much as possible.
