Lisa Pohlmann, chief executive officer of the Natural Resources Council of Maine, will speak Wednesday on the policy challenges facing Maine’s coastal waters.
In the talk, Pohlmann, who holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the University of Southern Maine's (USM's) Muskie School of Public Service, will address issues including policies to combat climate change and how the resources council works to support them. She will also discuss restoring fisheries through dam removal and reducing single-use plastic waste, among other topics.
Pohlmann has been with the Natural Resources Council of Maine since 2000 and has been CEO of the 20,000-member group since 2011.
