The Alfond Scholarship Foundation and the Finance Authority of Maine (FAME) are holding an Alfond Baby Casting Call at USM: Saturday, April 7, 2012, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Woodbury Campus Center, Bedford Street, Portland.
Is your baby a Future Face of Maine?
Every Maine baby under one year of age is eligible to receive a $500 grant for future higher education from the Harold Alfond College Challenge.* Maine babies under age one are invited to attend a Casting Call to find the Future Faces of Maine. A professional photographer will take a free photograph of each baby who attends - and some babies’ pictures may be selected to be in future Alfond Grant marketing!
At the event, you can complete a NextGen account application. The Alfond Grant is awarded to a NextGen account. FAME will be there to help - remember to bring Social Security numbers (or taxpayer IDs, passports, or alien registration cards) for you, your baby and spouse, if applicable.
Let your friends with Maine babies know about this event and the $500 Harold Alfond College Challenge Grant.
*Review Terms and Conditions for requirements and details.
Other Alfond Grant terms and conditions apply. NextGen is a Section 529 plan administered by Finance Authority of Maine (FAME). Before you invest in NextGen, request a NextGen Program Description from your Maine bank or financial advisor, or call FAME at 1-800-228-3734 and read it carefully. The Program Description contains more complete information, including investment objectives, charges, expenses and risks of investing in NextGen, which you should carefully consider before investing. You also should consider whether your home state or your designated beneficiary’s home state offers any state tax or other benefits that are only available for investments in such state’s 529 plan. Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, a registered broker-dealer, Member SIPC, is the program manager and underwriter.
