Danielle has 15 years of public relations and marketing experience for a wide range of organizations including higher education, retail marketing, health care, high-tech and the arts. She earned her Master’s degree from Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University, and possesses strong writing and editing skills; experience in media relations; creative direction, managing publications and web content, as well as graphic design and photography experience.
As Director of Communications, Danielle oversees a team of three professionals and several interns. She and the team are responsible for producing the news content at USM which appears on the website, USM's various social media channels and in print publications such as the USM Connects magazine. With her team, Danielle works with faculty, staff, students and programs or departments to best strategize how to promote their efforts. She also manages media coverage for the University; oversees management of USM's social media strategy; and oversees the production of USM's monthly TV news show.
