The women’s basketball team, 2013 champions of the Little East Conference, will host the second round game of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball National Championship Tournament this Saturday, March 2, at the Warren G. Hill Gymnasium, Gorham.
The Huskies exited the tourney in the first round after an upset victory (80-58) by Smith College Friday night.
The second round teams, Smith and Ithaca, will face each other 7 p.m. on Saturday in the Hill Gym for the right to advance to the Sectional Finals on March 8-9.
Tickets for Saturday's game go on sale at 5 p.m., Saturday in the Costello Sports Complex, Gorham. Tickets, which must be purchased in person, are $7 for adults and $5 for students (with an ID), including USM students. Children six years old and under are admitted free. Tickets purchased Friday included admission to Saturday's game. Athletics season passes cannot be used per NCAA rules.
The USM women’s ice hockey team will be traveling to Norwich University in Vermont to take on the host Norwich Cadets in the ECAC Women’s Ice Hockey Final Four. Top-seeded Norwich plays the sixth-seeded Huskies at 12 noon on Saturday. The championship game will be played on Sunday.

The Husky wrestlers will be at Worcester Polytechnic Institute this Saturday and Sunday for the 18-team NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Wrestling Championships.
- Indoor Track -
Finally, the men’s and women’s indoor track teams will be at the ECAC Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for this Friday and Saturday at the 168th Street Armory in New York City.
