David Hediger ‘09 has been named Director of Planning and Code Enforcement for the City of Lewiston.
“David has been a valued city employee for just shy of 20 years and has been the Department’s Deputy Director since 2002,” City Administrator Ed Barrett said in a release. “He knows the City and our organization and is respected by city staff and members of the community for his dedication, hard work, and treating all those with whom he comes into professional contact fairly.”
Hediger earned a master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from the University of Southern Maine’s Muskie School of Public Service.
The Lewiston Sun Journal reported that Hediger has been responsible for coordinating the development of the Riverfront Island Master Plan and the recently adopted Legacy Lewiston comprehensive plan, which has won multiple planning awards.
