Join USM Corporate Partners and guest speakers for a sustainability panel discussion

Corporate Partners event

People, Planet, Profit.

That is the focus of the next University of Southern Maine Corporate Partners panel discussion, “Sustainability: What Maine Businesses Need to Succeed," taking place on Wednesday, January 23, 7:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m., at the Abromson Community Education Center, Portland Campus.

Everywhere you turn, businesses are talking about sustainability. How do I balance my financial bottom line with my environmental and social responsibilities? Do my customers really care about these issues? Can I do well by doing good? How do I get started?

To be competitive in today’s marketplace, Maine businesses need to follow the triple bottom line. Facilitated by USM Corporate Partners Faculty Chair Richard Bilodeau, this event is an opportunity to learn about the challenges and opportunities of business sustainability, as well as tools and advice to help you make an immediate impact at this discussion

On the panel will be guests: George Parmenter, Sustainable Retailing Manager, Hannaford Supermarkets; Lora Winslow, Program Manager for the Sustainable Economies Program, Manomet; Kate Holcomb, MBA Student, Sustainable Business Concentration, University of Southern Maine

Registration is required, the admission fee is $15 for the general public. Free to Corporate Partners, USM students, staff, faculty.
