A video of Portland Police Officer Jeremy Turner — a University of Southern Maine alumnus with a degree in music performance — has drawn more than 83,000 Facebook views.

In the three-minute video, the uniformed officer shows off his tenor voice in Portland’s Old Port with a performance of “O Holy Night.”

“I've been singing since I was 6 years old,” Turner told reporter Kristina Rex of WCSH-TV. The station broadcast a feature story about Turner and the video. He was also interviewed by WMTW-TV, and a piece was published in the Portland Press Herald.

Rex also posted a short duet with Turner on Twitter. Together, they sang “Silent Night.”

Other media outlets to feature Turner included WGME-TV, WSLS-TV in Roanoke, Virginia and the nationally distributed show Inside Edition.
