USM joins Maine Public for talk about growing relationship with Iceland

USM President Glenn Cummings and Tracy Michaud Stutzman, chair of USM's Tourism and Hospitality (TAH) program were interviewed June 19th on Maine Public's radio show, "Maine Calling," for a discussion of the state's growing relationship with Iceland.

Stutzman talked about her recent trip to Iceland with students and faculty from TAH as well as guests from AAA Northern New England, and President Cummings talked about his upcoming trip, including plans to join a group of 15 Honors students who left on June 17. USM students studying business and public health have also recently traveled to Iceland.

"These are rich areas of academic study for our students," Cummings said. "We're trying to help them understand the importance of viewing the world through a geopolitical perspective."
