USM Professor Publishes Book About Sustainable Energy Systems

In today’s technology-based society, there is a dire need for an energy plan that strikes a balance between fossil, renewable, and sustainable energy sources. Our dependence on finite energy sources is short sighted, says USM’s Professor of Environmental Science Daniel Martinez in his new book, “The Path to More Sustainable Energy Systems.”

Co-authored with Ben Ebenhack, associate professor of petroleum engineering at Marietta College in Ohio, it offers readers information about energy options, their potential, and their limitations. The book was written for classroom use, but also is accessible to policy makers and others interested in sustainable energy.

The Path to More Sustainable Energy Systems” is now available in print, Kindle, and Nook.
