USM professor wrote opinion piece on school funding in Bangor Daily News

USM's Flynn Ross shared her views on school funding in a recently published Bangor Daily News opinion piece.

"State funding is the key to ensuring that all students across the state have equitable access to quality schools," she wrote.

Flynn wrote that Maine has underfunded education by $260 million a year and that Maine pays its teachers less than than average in the United States.

Ross is an associate professor of teacher education and the coordinator of the USM Extended Teacher Education Program.
