Richard Bilodeau, who teaches entrepreneurship in USM’s School of Business, talked about the ease of online shopping for a WGME-TV story on Cyber Monday.
"It's the comfort of shopping at home or on their mobile phone, I don't need to try and drive to the mall, to one of the big box stores," Bilodeau told the Portland TV station, which questioned whether the deals are as strong as the hype.
"I think a lot of the deals are good, but to be honest a lot of what I'm seeing in my inbox right now is just good marketing," he said. "It provides a lot of choice for consumers, we end up with a lot of ability to research and learn about the things that we're buying."
In addition to teaching entrepreneurship, Bilodeau teaches creative strategies, sustainability, and marketing in the School of Business.
