The ROCC - Top Floor of Sullivan Gym
Do you struggle with a mental health condition such as anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder? Do you want to be in a supportive community of other individuals facing similar struggles and share resources and strategies for recovery and management of mental illness? Do you need a safe place to share your story, or have experience and insight that could be beneficial to another individual?
If you've answered yes to any of these questions, you may benefit from this Mental Health Support Group at the ROCC: a once weekly, peer-facilitated group that will be flexible to support the needs of the group. Group will include check-ins, resource sharing, emotional wellness activities and open discussion. Discussion topics may include tracking and managing symptoms, navigating treatment options, learning and strengthening skills and strategies, and being a successful student while facing a mental health condition.
All group members are asked to share as much or as little as they want, and confidentiality is very important. Attending the group once does not commit you for the entire semester. Please feel free to check it out once and see if it's a supportive community you could picture yourself in!
