Tuesdays 4:15- 5:15 pm at the Recovery Oriented Campus Center (ROCC)
Queer Recovery is a peer lead, empowerment-based, and language positive recovery group for the LGBTQIA+ community. Queer Recovery operates out of the Recovery Oriented Campus Center (ROCC) and focuses on mental health disorders and substance use disorders with the knowledge that these issues affect the queer community at significantly higher rates than non-queer folks.
We believe that healing is a dynamic and fluid process, and accommodate the many ways in which people approach their recovery journey. We’re here to meet students where they’re at, and give students the support to navigate the complexities of these issues in a safe and welcoming environment.
The facilitators at Queer Recovery believe that with the right types of connection, healing, and education we can change the trajectory of mental health and substance use disorders in ourselves and the greater community.
