Raising Healthy Teens Health and Wellness Fair

Scarborough Public Schools and the Scarborough Police Department are hosting a community event Raising Healthy Teens

On March 29, 2018 :Raising Healthy Teens.

This two hour event will include a Panel Presentation and Q & A on four important topics outlined below, and a Health and Wellness Fair. The Health and Wellness Fair will include various organizations/vendors at tables so people from our Scarborough community can receive information and learn about a wide variety of supports and services in and around our community.

USM's Recovery Oriented Campus Center (The ROCC) is pleased to participate in the Health and Wellness Fair.  We are looking forward to this evening of learning and sharing resources with our community.  Below is the schedule for the evening:

Event - “Raising Healthy Teens” - SHS Auditorium and Cafeteria

Date - March 29, 2018

Time - 6:00-7:00 - Panel Presentation - speakers will present on the following topics:

  • Adolescent Brain and Substance Use - Liz Blackwell-Moore
  • Adolescent Brain and Sleep - Dr. Stephen Rioux
  • Stress Management - Molly Montgomery and Joyce Nadeau
  • Teens and Technology Usage - Jonathan Werner

7:00 - 8:00 - Health and Wellness Fair -SHS Cafeteria, light refreshments provided

This event is designed to be positive and supportive to bring information to our community members about programs and services designed to support people of all ages.
