USM Housing Application/Contract Fall 2017/Spring 2018

The application below is for Fall 2017/Spring 2018 housing and meal plan.

This is a contract for housing and meals through the entire academic year, August 2017 through May 2018, for those students beginning their housing term in the fall semester, and may not be voided except by conditions noted in housing contract Terms and Conditions.

You must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student in at least 9 credit hours per semester at USM for undergraduates, or 3 credits per semester for law and graduate students, to receive on-campus housing. Students with less than the required credit hours may only reside on campus with written approval by the Office of Residential Life. All students in housing are required to have a residential meal plan (with the exception of those living in Upperclass Hall apartments with kitchens). This application does not guarantee assignment. Although every effort will be made to honor a preference for type of living arrangement or roommate, USM reserves the right to assign students to the various communities on the basis of availability. Any vacancy that occurs after Room Selection may be filled at the discretion of Residential Life. Applications are taken on a rolling basis; applications received on or before May 1, 2017 will receive priority fall assignment. After completing this housing application, you will save it, acknowledging that you have read and agree to abide by the housing contract Terms and Conditions.

Disability Based Housing Accommodations: If you have housing needs due to a documented disability, you must contact the Disability Services Center (DSC) at 207-780-4706 or dsc-usm@maine.edu. The DSC strongly encourages students whose attendance at the university depends on the availability of on-campus housing to apply far in advance of the published deadlines.

We will send your housing assignment, roommate contact information, and meal plan details to you via US mail. If you need assistance, please contact Residential Life at usm.reslife@maine.edu; (207)780-5240, 1-800-800-4USM, or TDD @ (207)780-5646.

After completing this housing application, you will save it, acknowledging that you have read and agree to abide by the housing contract Terms and Conditions.  A completed application is required before assignment can be made to campus housing.
