Alicia Trott has been teaching at University of Southern Maine for 8 years. She grew up in Maine and during her high school years attended an outdoor survival school in Montana. She graduated from the University of Maine earning a graduate degree in Education with an emphasis in kinesiology. Health, well-being and exercise have been her passion for years not only in her own life and her family’s life but also in the lives of her students. Together with a team of amazing and creative USM instructors, she is committed to providing students with a sound foundation for a lifetime of health and well-being.
When not teaching, you can find Alicia spending time with her husband and two children (soon to be three). She also enjoys triathlons and marathons. Her most notable races would include qualifying for the Boston marathon and running the Boston marathon pregnant. Alicia qualified and participated in the Lake Placid Ironman and was able to qualify for the Kona World Championship in Hawaii. She continues to swim, bike and run while looking forward to her next Ironman.
