Kristine has a Fine Arts background with a Masters in Education focusing on bringing art making to all parts of the community. She owns The Creative Child and Adults Arts Program where she has worked for over 15 years in the community with a wide range of artists from preschool through memory care. Kristine works with nonprofits, schools, private groups and museums throughout New England. Her programs are designed to empower artists (often new to art making) through projects that deepen learning goals, provide opportunities for sharing and exploring all while establishing a foundation of art making and understandings that can be built upon and used going forward.
Kristine believes that everyone can make great art when given the opportunity and tools to do so. Her goal, with all programming, is to provide projects and a variety of materials to ensure that everyone has a positive, successful art making experience.
Kristine’s favorite medium for creating right now is painting. Her work can be found in galleries, businesses and homes throughout New England. She is also the author and illustrator of I LOVE YOU TO TEN, a Maine inspired counting book designed to engage emerging readings in a colorful way. She is also the creator of As a Butterflys, a community project designed to spread inexpensive art across the world.
Kristine is very excited to be working with students from the University of Maine and encourages everyone, no matter the artistic experience, to experience the joy of art making through the Expressive Arts Program.
