USM Scholarships

Dr. Francis L. Bailey scholarship


The Doctor Francis Bailey Scholarship Fund was established at the University of Southern Maine in 1998 with a bequest from the estate of Nina Bailey.

The income from the fund shall be used to make an annual award to a USM student. Selection will be based on several criteria, including financial need.

Selection of the recipients shall be made by the Scholarship & Awards committee in consultation with the Student Financial Aid Office. The fund shall be administered by the Student Financial Aid Office.
