Esther Wood Scholarship Fund


The Esther Wood Scholarship Fund was established at the University of Southern Maine in 1995 and endowed in 1996 by the Gorham Class of 1954 to honor Ms. Esther Wood. The income from the fund shall be used to provide scholarships for USM students pursuing a major in History, who have achieved junior standing, and who have financial need.  Preference will be given to students with higher academic standing, and Maine residents will also be given first consideration. 



History major,
Junior standing or non-graduating senior,
Financial Need as evidenced by the FAFSA.
Preference given to students with higher academic standing, and those who are Maine residents.
