George D. Woodward Accounting Scholarship

Description

The Simmons Foundation established this scholarship in 1995, honoring George D. Woodward, who practiced as an accountant in Portland and taught at USM. The scholarship provides assistance to accounting majors who possess exceptional academic credentials with preference given to residents of Cumberland County.

Eligibility

Cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or better required; Enrolled in a minimum of 6 USM credits when funds are received; Will graduate no sooner than December of the academic year funds are received; Demonstrated need as evidenced by the FASFA; Preference given to those who are permanent residents of Cumberland County.
