USM Scholarships

Pond Family Foundation Scholarship


This scholarship was established at the University of Southern Maine in 2007 by Nancy and Kirk Pond to benefit students with financial need, entering or transferring to USM. 


Eligible recipients must be students with a demonstrated financial need. No minimum transfer GPA is required. 

Award Amount

First year - up to $1,250. Subsequent years will be based on available funds. Renewable up to 7 semesters.


Priority Deadline November 1

How to Renew

Must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and full-time enrollment.

Every academically qualified student from New Hampshire and Vermont can attend USM for less than the cost of in-state tuition in their home states. Application deadline is April 1.
