Mabel G. Skillin Nursing Scholarship

Description

This scholarship was established in 1995 through the generosity of the Simmons Foundation. In honor of Mabel Skillin, who trained and served at Maine General Hospital as a nurse during the 1890's. Mrs. Skillin considered Nursing to be a very high calling, and maintained a lifelong interest in education.

Eligibility

Matriculated Graduate and Undergraduate Nursing students are eligible for this scholarship, preference will be given to residents of Cumberland County.

Award Amount

The number and amount of award(s) will be based on available income.

Deadline

November 1 for current Nursing students, February 15 for students expecting to matriculate to Nursing in May or September
