USM and UMF Create New Accelerated Rehabilitation Counseling Degree

The University of Southern Maine and University of Maine at Farmington have worked in partnership to create a new academic program to address the national shortage of rehabilitation counselors. The Counseling 3+2 (BS to MSC) degree, which begins in Fall 2015, allows students to achieve both their bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation service and master’s degree in counseling in five years, rather than the typical six.
