Non-Matriculated Students are limited to taking up to 9 credits (3 courses maximum) without being matriculated in the MSW program. Only the following three courses are open to non-matriculated students, space permitting:
SWO 501 (Multicultural Social Work)
SWO 504 (Social Welfare Policy I)
SWO 505 (Social Work Research I)
The following classes can only be taken with the Instructor’s Permission:
SWO 502 (Critical Thinking About Human Behavior I)
SWO 552 (Critical Thinking About Human Behavior II Note- You MUST take SWO 502 BEFORE taking SWO 552)
Non-matriculated students taking graduate courses in the MSW program must have completed a baccalaureate degree. Non-matrics can generally register for classes during Open Registration. Please call the School of Social Work Office at (207)780-4120 for information about signing up for these classes.
