Multiple Volunteer Opportunities: Humane Society, Waterville Area

The Humane Society Waterville Area currently has volunteer openings for dog and cat care assistants, laundry lead, animal transport assistant, office assistant, shelter greeter, and reception! Boys and Girls Club Annual Gift Wrapping Party!

Become a Foster Grandparent with the Opportunity Alliance

Join the Opportunity Alliance as a Foster Grandparent. Become part of the network of community members and organizations who work every day to help children learn to read and provide one-on-one tutoring, mentor teenagers and young children, care for infants and children with special needs, and help English Language Learners achieve success. People who are 55 or older and want to share their experience and compassion have what it takes to be a Foster Grandparent. Ca$h Maine

Ca$h Maine volunteers help provide free tax preparation to qualified tax filers and connect tax filers to financial education, savings opportunities, and other helpful services! Free training will be provided. To learn more, visit our event page or Ca$h Maine's website

 

 Community Partner Highlight: Portland Housing Authority Study Centers!

The Portland Housing Authority Study Centers are after-school programs that serve low income students. The Centers’ collective goals are to help students become academically and socially successful and thus thrive in school and beyond. Volunteers provide academic support to at-risk students K-12 in all subjects. A minimum commitment of two hours per week for a one-month commitment is requested.
