SMART for Schools

SMART offers consultation services customized to the needs of:

  • Individual students
    • SMART staff visit the school to learn more about the individual student's needs to identify instructional methods and/or behavioral interventions for the student
  • Teachers & Families
    • SMART consultation can address the needs of small groups of students as well. For example, if there is a group of students with very similar learning needs, SMART staff can work with school personnel and/or family members to develop customized instructional solutions.
  • Schools
    • SMART assists school-level systems which support ALL students including development and implementation of:
      • universal screening
      • multi-tiered interventions
  • Districts
    • SMART supports district level leadership of effective instructional practices through review and selection of empirically-based instructional materials and resources such as:
      • Identify and choosing specific core curricula for use with ALL students

SMART consultation fees are very reasonable and help support USM graduate students who are working toward advanced degrees in education and related fields.
