2019 STONECOAST WRITERS’ CONFERENCE
June 24-29, 2019
APPLICATION (Please Print and Submit)
The following is a list of items required for a complete application:

[ ] A brief (1-2 page) cover letter describing your writing background and goals
[ ] An application manuscript:
- Manuscripts should be no longer than 16 pages, double-spaced, in 12pt type.
- Make sure your name appears on the top of every page.
- Manuscripts should correspond to the genre of your first choice workshop.
NOTE: Your application manuscript does not have to contain the same material you wish to work with this summer. Students accepted into the conference will have the chance to submit new work prior to the conference.

Note: The Stonecoast Writers’ Conference has a rolling admission process. Admission decisions will be made within two weeks of receiving your completed application. You will be notified by email.
*Refund & Cancellation Policy:
If you are accepted into this program and decide to withdraw from the conference for any reason, your $200 deposit is non-refundable. Notice of cancellation must be received in writing one month prior to the start of the program (May 24, 2019) in order to receive a full tuition refund (excluding the non-refundable deposit). If you are not accepted into the conference, or if USM cancels the program, the deposit will be returned.

NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT
The Stonecoast Writers’ Conference requires a $200 deposit to reserve your place in the program.
Make check payable to “University of Southern Maine”
All applications, in order to be considered complete, must include a $200 non-refundable deposit.
If accepted into the program, this deposit will be deducted from the total program tuition.
If you are not accepted into the program, or if a workshop is cancelled, your full deposit will be refunded.

You must apply for a particular workshop/genre. In the space below, please indicate your first choice and second choices. You will be notified if there is no space available in your first choice.

TUITION

The academic credit price includes USM tuition, university fees, and a course fee that covers special course materials and all program components (daily lunch, evening readings, mid-day programming, etc.)
