Courtney holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Vermont and finished her Master’s in Adult and Higher Education at USM in December 2012. She began working for USM in 2010 as a Graduate Assistant and is now a Student Success Advisor on the Gorham campus.
In her role at USM, Courtney advises undeclared students and is a liaison with Athletics, connecting with coaches to support student-athletes. She also teaches an Academic Self-Management course to first year students. Courtney received the Emerging Professional Staff Award for 2013 given annually and recognizes the recipient for excellence in their professional area and community involvement. Courtney values the opportunity to provide students with guidance in everyday activities, and to help students find strengths and talents inside of themselves that have not yet been tapped.
