  • Apply to become an Eco-Rep. Eco-Reps are student environmental leaders who work on sustainability initiatives and projects at USM that aim to meet our carbon neutrality goal and encourage individual change to live a more sustainable life. 
  • Work with the Office of Sustainability - Interested in doing work study, class projects, or an internship? Let us know and we will work with you to develop meaningful, sustainability-related work. 
  • Reserve a plot in the USM Community Garden and grow your own fresh food right on the Portland campus. Participate in workshops, picnics, and give back through food donations and work days.
  • Become an Environmental Science Major - USM has a growing Environmental Science degree program with lots of interesting classes and opportunities.
  • Earn an Applied Energy minor or certificate - tailored energy knowledge for students and professionals alike.
  • Southern Maine Outdoor Adventure Club - check out the USM Outing Club on Facebook.
  • Experience Internship & Job Finder - USM utilizes this service to list job and internship offers to its students.
