Lori K. Gramlich, MSW, LMSW. Over the past 30 years Lori worked in a variety of social service settings which includes social policy, media planning, political organizing, and nonprofit management. A staunch advocate for children, Lori was elected to the Portland School Board in 2005 where she served on both the Policy Committee and Financial Affairs Committee as well as chairing the Board’s Legislative Affairs Committee. In addition to Lori’s formal education at both UNE and Alfred University, she also completed the Wellstone Action Camp Training Camp for Activists, EMILY’s List Political Opportunity Program and the Midwest Academy’s Organizing for Social Change Training.
Nationally, Lori was Maine State Director for the Open Society Policy Center in Washington DC, where she developed strategies organizing for United Nation’s appointments with U.S. Maine Senators Snowe & Collins. She has presented at national conferences, including Healthy Families America and the School Based Health Alliance State Leadership Annual Conference. She was President of the Maine Assembly of School Based Health Centers from 2012 – 2014.
Lori is currently the Executive Director for the Maine Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers and teaches Social Welfare Policy, Introduction to Social Welfare, and Social Work Methods.
