To audition for the Musical (A Man of No Importance)prepare the vocal audition.
To audition for the Play (The Importance of Being Earnest): prepare the monologue audition.
To audition for both: prepare both.

Vocal Audition:

Prepare a portion (or 32 bars) of a song from the musical theater repertoire that shows us your vocal range. We are interested in seeing how you, the actor, connects to this musical material. Don't pick a song based solely on show-offy high notes. Please no Andrew Lloyd Webber, contemporary rock/pop musical theater, or Happy Birthday.  You will be asked to sing from the score at callbacks. Bring your music for the accompanist to play for your audition.

(The USM Library has an extensive collection of music.) You can contact Ed Reichert for additional help in choosing and/or preparing your music for the audition:

Monologue Audition:

Prepare one of the attached monologues.
