USM alumnus Tony Shalhoub, best known for his title role on the TV show "Monk," stars in a new Broadway musical, "The Band's Visit." In a recent review, the New York Times' Ben Brantley described the show as "one of the most ravishing musicals you will ever be seduced by" and Shalhoub's work as "marvelous."

USM Department of Theatre to present special encore performances Deertrees Theatre's ‘Last Train to Nibroc’ Sept. 7-8

The USM Department of Theatre will bring Arlene Hutton’s “Last Train to Nibroc” to the Main Stage at Russell Hall on USM’s Gorham campus for two nights on September 7 and 8 at 7:30pm. This production was performed throughout the summer by two of the Theatre program’s student actors, Emily Grotz and Luis Del Valle, at the historic Deertrees Theatre in Harrison, Maine.
