Doaa Khalil is excited to join the TRIO STEM Program here at USM. She has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and pursuing a master’s degree in Leadership Studies. Khalil is interested in STEM education and the STEM profession. She believes that advocating for STEM education is essential, especially since the world is considered to be technology-driven.
Khalil has a diverse and rich background experience in STEM. She held various leadership positions and completed several projects in this field. With colleagues, she completed a Preliminary Design Review (PDR), which was about a Mars mission, and worked on a space proposal with engineers and scientists. Currently, she serves as a Volunteer Ambassador for the NASA Lucy Mission and is working on research that is STEM-focused.
With her passion for STEM and knowledge about USM, Khalil is hoping to help TRIO students succeed and finish their college journey in a timely manner and with significant experiences.
