Web Content Management System Update -- April 19, 2011

Group training sessions regarding the Web Content Management System (Web CMS) conversion, are underway. The 90-minute sessions introduce you to the look and feel of the Web CMS and provide information about how you will be able to login and input your content data. These are hands-on workshops where you will migrate some of your content. You will leave with the tools and knowledge to get your site ready-to-launch when the launch comes.

If you are a Chronicle subscriber, you may have caught a recent article that has many parallels to our current work. Read the article, Colleges Rehab Their Web Sites for Major Payoffs. Additionally, for those who prefer to watch rather than read, the interactive graphic, Flip This Web Site, also discusses many of the same issues, though it is focused on admissions and student aid.

As a reminder, the initial launch of the new Web CMS will occur approximately May 19. As such, we are working with several deadlines in which everyone’s cooperation is needed to help meet the timelines established as this project progresses.

We appreciate your cooperation and help with this project.
