WGS Council Member, Meghan Brodie collaborates to bring world premiere to USM in April 2014

In The Underworld

Assistant Professor of Theatre and Women and Gender Studies faculty member Meghan Brodie just finished collaborating with translators Annie & Karl Bortnick on the English translation of Germaine Tillion's In the Underworld: A Darkly Comic Operetta, a play Tillion wrote while imprisoned in Ravensbruck, a WWII concentration camp in Germany.  In the Underworld will receive its English language world premiere at USM in April 2014.  Meghan is also directing [Un]Spoken Maine performances for USM's new student overnight orientations and working on a revision of her manuscript, Lesbian Broadway.
