Disability Services Center

Welcome to the Disability Services Center. The DSC provides a wide range of services to qualified students with physical, psychological and learning disabilities enrolled in USM.

Our mission is to work together with students, faculty and staff to create an environment of equal access allowing students to explore and recognize their full potential.  We strive to minimize physical and attitudinal barriers and to build relationships with the larger community that enhance the learning and life experiences of our students.

In all its activities, DSC seeks to balance the rights and responsibilities for both the student and the University within a philosophical framework that stresses student independence and self-reliance.

The staff of DSC looks forward to working with you to help you achieve your educational goals at USM.
