Did you have a 504/IEP in high school or receive accommodations at your last college/university? Do you have a documented disability? Contact our office as soon as possible to request a meeting to determine your accommodations in college. Summer appointments are strongly encouraged.
How do I set up my accommodations?
- Students should first be enrolled in courses at USM.
- Next, sign into your MyUSM page to find our internal website for a step-by-step process to request academic, housing & dining, or ESA accommodations.
- Select Requesting Accommodations and submit the appropriate accommodation request form(s).
- Please review the documentation guidelines online.
- If there are questions about what documentation is needed, please reach out the the Disability Services Center.
- Initial appointments for new students for academic accommodations are available Monday-Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
- Please plan for the appointment to take 1 hour. Whenever possible, please send documentation of your disability in advance of your appointment.
- Housing Accommodation Requests submitted by May 7th will receive priority consideration.
- Requests received after this date will be honored on a space available basis.
- Requests will be reviewed by the Disability Services Center staff when we have both the student housing accommodation request and documentation in late May and June.
- New residential students must also complete and submit a housing contract to the Office of Residential life by the priority housing deadline of May 7 for Fall 2022.
