Bradley Boehringer, a 2005 graduate of the USM Accelerated BS in Nursing program, has been awarded a Fulbright U.S. Student Program grant to Finland in Medicine Sciences, the United States Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board announced recently.
USM Bone Marrow Drive
On Thursday April 24th from 830-430 the Student Nurse Organization, the brothers of Delta Chi, and the sisters of Kappa Iota held a bone marrow drive on the Portland and Gorham campuses with the organization deletebloodcancer.org
Maggie Fournier, Associate Professor of Nursing, and her therapy dog Deagan were featured on WCSH 6 in a piece highlighting the special service they provide to cancer patients at Maine Medical Center.

New!! Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Concentration

This concentration, within the Master of Science in Nursing degree, prepares an advanced practice nurse to function as a primary care practitioner to adolescents, adults, and older adults in the context of families, groups, and communities. Graduates who complete this concentration are eligible to sit for national certification as an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner.
