To help you get started, we set aside time for you to meet with a University Advisor for an Advising and Course Selection (ACS) appointment before your first semester begins. This personalized approach reflects USM’s commitment to being student-focused every day.
As a first-year, transfer, or re-admitted degree-seeking student, part of your orientation process includes a personalized 60-minute one-on-one ACS appointment. At this meeting, you and your advisor will discuss your educational goals and determine the critical steps you must take to meet them.
Together, you’ll review degree options and requirements, map out your degree path, understand how to apply any transfer credits you might have, and register for your courses. Learn more about orientation.
