Directed by Dan Sonenberg, the Composers Ensemble begins each semester with a different mix of instruments and no music. Throughout the semester, the student composers in the group write and the players rehearse, and the composers edit, and again and again throughout the semester a full concert of original works is developed and finally performed in this concert.
