Internships

An internship is a hands-on experience during which you work with professionals, learn about the industry, and develop skills that are relevant to your academics and future career. An internship is a great way to explore your interests, build your resume, and cultivate professional connections.

Internships help support the connection between academic learning and real-world application.

Students who complete an internship receive more job offers than those who do not. Of 2022 graduates, more than 46% of students who completed an internship received a job offer upon graduation (NACE).

Internships assist with real-world experience, skill development, professional networking, career exploration, resume building, and could lead to a job offer.

The Career & Employment Hub supports students with internships by providing access to a variety of internship listings, offering guidance on resume and cover letter writing, and preparing them for interviews with mock sessions and tips.

We offer career advising to help align internship choices with career goals, host networking events to connect you with industry professionals, and provide workshops to develop essential job skills.

Events

We regularly invite employers to campus in a variety of capacities to connect with students and alumni. There are opportunities throughout the entire academic year for students to meet with employer representatives, learn about career options, and network in their industry of interest.
