Kelsey began working for the University of Southern Maine in 2017 and is currently an Assistant Director of Academic Advising, primarily advising students within the Department of Exercise, Health and Sport Sciences. She sits on committees pertaining to the onboarding, professional development and recognition of professional and faculty advisors. Kelsey is committed to utilizing developmental and holistic advising approaches that support students through a lens of equity and justice.

Kelsey attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a minor in French Studies. After three years working in the hospitality industry, she studied at Merrimack College to attain a Master of Education in Higher Education and has previously worked as a career advisor for undeclared students.

In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her partner and daughter – hiking, traveling, relaxing at one of Maine’s state park beaches, and trying out new restaurants in downtown Portland!
