Jennifer is driven by a passion for teaching, learning, and accessibility. With over 20 years of experience spanning K–12 and higher education, she combines cutting-edge research, learning science, adult learning principles, and Universal Design to create learning experiences that truly stick.

Her teaching journey began at the Long Creek Youth Development Center, where she taught math using constructivist and project-based learning approaches. She often reflects that “the kids at LCYDC taught me how to teach”—a testament to her belief that education is a two-way street.

Beyond the classroom, Jennifer is a creative problem solver and community builder. She successfully expanded a child care program into three self-sustaining, accredited sites, all while leading a team of 12+ staff and supporting their professional growth.

Today, Jennifer serves as the Statewide Curriculum Coordinator for Maine Roads to Quality Professional Development Network (MRTQ PDN) at the Catherine Cutler Institute. In this role, she oversees the development, revision, and integrity of training curricula, ensuring they reflect the latest industry research and standards. Her thought leadership recently reached a national stage when she presented “AI and Youth: Fear Less, Empower More” at the 2025 National Afterschool Association Conference.

When she’s not shaping the future of education, Jennifer can be found tending her mini hobby farm, hiking and camping in the mountains, or soaking up the sun on her travels.
