Jacob Sesker

Jacob Sesker is a practitioner and lecturer with expertise in local fiscal and economic policy.  In his consulting practice he represents public and private sector clients on issues related to the “carrots and sticks” of development; gap financing for urban development projects; business climate analysis; and the intersections between taxation, land use regulation, private sector economic activity, and local tax revenue. Jacob is frequently quoted on issues related to the economy of the Washington, D.C. metro area.  Jacob recently moved back to Maine following a career in Montgomery County, Maryland, where he held senior management roles at the Montgomery County Planning Department, the Montgomery County Council, and the Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation.
