Billale Fulli (he/him) was born and raised in Portland, Maine. He earned his B.A. in Sociology at USM and minored in Race & Ethnic Studies and Philosophy. Billale is currently in his third year in the Master’s of Policy, Planning, and Management program here at the Muskie School of Public Service as a part time student where his focus is on Public and Nonprofit Management. He is passionate about community development and program evaluation ! 

Prior to joining the Office of Graduate Studies team as a Graduate Assistant, Billale was both an intern and co-facilitator for Portland Empowered, an organization that focuses on student voice and education reform within Portland Public schools. In his time at Portland Empowered he Co-facilitated the ReImagine Education summer project that identified recommendations for the education system to address and dismantle systemic racism and established policy and practices for youth involvement. He also was a Youth Mentor at Gateway Community Services Maine where he assisted refugees and immigrants who moved to the United States within the last five years. This past academic year Billale also worked as an applied research fellow with the Grants for Change (G4C) program at Maine Initiatives through the Data Innovation Project. 

When not with family or friends you can catch Billale either taking his daily walks around Portland or drinking his favorite Iced Vanilla Chai.
