Research Interests
Professor Everson's research focuses on settler colonial theory, Indigenous activism, and white-Native relations.
Professor Everson received his PhD in Sociology from the University of Notre Dame. His community-based teaching and scholarship focus on the intersections of social inequality and social movements, with a specific emphasis on American Indian rights and Indigenous activism. Born and raised in South Dakota, he is a research fellow with the Center for American Indian Rights and Native Studies (CAIRNS) on the Pine Ridge Reservation.
