Rob Sanford received his B.A. in anthropology from SUNY-Potsdam in 1982. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) after several years of conducting impact assessments.

Rob spent nine years as an environmental hearing officer in Vermont. Rob has been an adjunct faculty member at SUNY-ESF, Community College of Vermont, Johnson State College, and Antioch New England Graduate School.

Rob has been on the faculty of the Department of Environmental Science & Policy since 1996.
